Accurate testing and calibration

The ST50X range of simulator products was developed for the testing and calibration of fiscal and custody transfer flow measurement systems.

For added convenience, each unit has a rechargeable battery and can be operated without mains power. Each unit features an easy to use menu-driven LCD display, and comes with a kit of various test leads suitable for most applications.

ST500 Dual Pulse

Designed as a modern successor to the Spectra-Tek H212 generator, this unit generates representative dual pulse signals suitable for testing and commission dual-pulse based measurement systems. It is suitable for any dual pulse meter.

The unit generates representative dual pulse signals suitable for testing in accordance with:

  • IP 252/76 Part XIII Fidelity and Security of Measurement – Data Transmission Systems
  • ISO 6551 Petroleum Liquids and Gases – Fidelity and Security of Dynamic Measurement – Cabled Transmission of Electronic and/or Electronic Pulse Data
  • API Manual of Petroleum Measurement Standards, Chapter 5, Section 5 - Fidelity and Security of Flow Measurement Pulsed- Data Transmission Systems

ST500 is one of a range of new generation simulators designed to meet the requirements for checking and calibrating fiscal and custody transfer flow computer systems. The range combines up-to-date microprocessor and Direct Digital Synthesis technology with easy to use, menu-driven LCD operation.

The units are mains/battery powered for convenience and are supplied with a comprehensive set of leads and adaptors for easy connection in all test environments.

Designed as a modern successor to the Spectra-Tek H213 Frequency Synthesiser generator, the ST501 Densitometer Signal Simulator has been designed to simulate frequency domain signal transducers, such as vibrating cylinder densitometers, and is typically used to facilitate the testing and commissioning of flow metering systems.

ST501 is one of a range of new generation simulators designed to meet the requirements for checking and calibrating fiscal and custody transfer flow computer systems. The range combines up-to-date microprocessor and Direct Digital Synthesis technology with easy to use, menu-driven LCD operation.

ST500 Dual Pulse

With the ST502i, you get the best of both worlds. Not only does it combine the features of the ST500 and ST501, it is also capable of producing ratio pulse rates as seen on gas turbines, and offers a proving mode which allows dual chronometry testing (additional module required). It is currently the only simulator available on the market with this functionality, typically for small volume prover applications, and is capable of proving in various modes including uni-directional, bi-directional and local or remote operation.

The unit also comes supplied with the SimMeter HMI software package, which means you can program and simulate batch profiles.

The ST502i Multimode metering simulator is the latest generation of signal generators capable of a large variety of functions. Not only does it combine the functions of the ST500 Dual Pulse Simulator and the ST501 Densitometer Simulator, it also provides the following new features:

  • A Modbus-USB interface, with a “SimMeter” HMI package that can be installed on a PC/Laptop
  • A SimMeter programmable batch profiles facility, which enables user-defined batch profiles to be simulated
  • Gas turbine mode, allowing the ratio pulse rates of gas turbine meters to be simulated
  • Prover simulator mode, allowing dual chronometry testing
