Ben Leach - Managing Director |

Ben spent a number of years as a Test Engineer and Senior Control Systems Engineer prior to joining Spectra-Tek as a Metering Computer System’s Project Manager in 1991. Ben became the Project’s Department Manager at Spectra-Tek in 1995 and following Spectra-Tek’s acquisition by Daniel and their subsequent acquisition by Emerson, Ben and four of his colleagues formed Swinton Technology in 2001.
Under Ben’s leadership Swinton Technology rapidly established itself as a leader within the niche oil and gas metering control systems market – primarily as a consequence of the wealth of metering computer system experience in their team and a first class track record.
Ben is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and recently completed his Masters in Business Administration (MBA).

Stuart Hazelwood - Project Manager |

|
Stuart has a wealth of experience in engineering product development and project management. An Engineering and Management graduate from Loughborough University, Stuart progressed through roles in Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering functions and into project management. Stuart has an MSc in Engineering Business Management and 10 years experience as an Engineering Project Manager, his experience includes managing multifunctional teams on international projects both in the UK and the Asia Pacific region, working for manufacturing organizations and engineering consultancies. After working in Australia for 3 years, Stuart joined Swinton Technology in 2007 as a Projects Manager to support the sustained growth of the business.

Ian Kneeshaw - Project Manager |

|
Ian spent the early part of his career as an Electrical Technician with Yorkshire Water gaining ‘hands on’ experience before moving into the design office. Having subsequently worked in a wide range of process industries as a Lead Electrical Engineer, Ian has a broad knowledge base and experience in the Project Engineering role.
From 1998 to 2001 Ian worked within the Oil & Gas industry as a Project Engineer/Manager with Daniel/Emerson.
Ian joined Swinton Technology in 2006 as a Project Manager after five years with Earthtech Engineering Ltd as a Team Leader, having responsibility for management of multi-disciplinary design teams and control of projects from inception to delivery.
Ian is a Chartered Electrical Engineer.

Mitchell Lewis - Sales Manager |

|
Mitch completed an industry 4 Year Electrical/Electronic Apprenticeship prior to gaining an HND in Computing and Control before joining Spectra-Tek as a System’s Technician in 1989. Gaining internal promotions through Project Engineering to Project Management (for 7 years), Mitch eventually moved into a Sales role in 1999 by which time Spectra-Tek had been acquired by Daniel and were soon acquired by Emerson Process Management.
In 2001 Mitch moved Emerson divisions to work within the DCS Systems Group (DeltaV, Provox, RS3) as an Account Manager focusing on Oil and Gas, Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals.
In 2003 Mitch re-joined his former colleagues at Swinton Technology as Sales and Marketing Manager.
Whilst Ben completed his MBA, Mitch concentrated on reducing his golf handicap and now plays off 9. When Mitch isn’t hard at work, he can be found working hard on the golf course !

Three years experience in guided weapon subsystem testing.
Eighteen years experience in software engineering and system design for SCADA and metering systems. Specialist areas: communications, networking, real time engineering and large software project design.
Five years experience in managing software engineering teams.

Martin Walls - Service Manager |

|
|
Martin has 28 years experience of metering systems with the last 8 as Systems Dept Manager at Alderley Systems (formerly Jordan Kent Metering Systems).
At Alderley he was responsible for the design and acceptance testing of flow computer systems, and also headed up the system test engineering group which was responsible for Factory Wet Testing of the metering skids.
Martin has a HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and following an apprenticeship with British Rail, joined Spectra-Tek in December 1980 as a Test Technician. Following 3 years as a Field Service Engineer he was promoted to Project Manager and was the lead Engineer on the Sentinel 500 development project. During his time at Spectra-Tek he managed numerous global metering projects until leaving in 2001 by which time the acquisition of Spectra-Tek by Daniel and Emerson had been completed.
Martin has experience of the full range of Spectra-Tek products (868/869/S1000/S2000/S500/S600), and also has an excellent knowledge of OMNI and E2000 flowcomputer systems.
