Swinton Technology Limited is a leading global supplier of oil and gas metering computer systems located in Malton, North Yorkshire. As a consequence of our continued success we are currently looking for hard working and enthusiastic people with a professional, flexible and customer focused attitude to fill the following position:-
PROPOSALS ENGINEER
In this role you will report to the Proposals Manger and will be a key part of the Proposals team.
You must have the relevant skills and supporting qualifications to enable you to prepare and submit highly professional and commercially viable written proposals to our high and exacting standards.
In Summary the proposals Engineer will:
•Produce technically compliant proposals to agreed timescales, set procedures, and within budget.
•Act as primary interface with customer on delegated enquiries
•Involvement at all stages of the proposals process from inception to completion.
•Quotation follow up, and support in tender negotiations and bid clarification meetings - including potential overseas travel
•Interaction with operations personnel
•Provide a weekly progress report to both the Proposals Manager and Sales Manager including updating internal sales forecasting systems
Person Profile
•The ideal candidate must be self motivated, flexible and enthusiastic with a customer focussed attitude.
•Must be willing to work as part of a team.
•Must have an engineering based qualification and/or have a working engineering background.
•Must have an excellent command of the English language-both oral and written
•Must have working experience in the preparation of written engineering documentation
•Must have significant working experience of Microsoft office packages; in particular Word and Excel
•The ideal candidate will have a regimented approach to the day to day management of their activities and keep records in line with Quality procedures
•Familiarity with drawing packages such as AutoCad and MS Visio
•Familiarity with control systems(DCS/SCADA/PLC) would be an advantage
•Familiarity with metering computer systems would be a significant advantage
